I know I've been slacking majorly on updating this month so far. To be honest I've only put in 3 sessions our of the 11 days so far this month which is fairly disappointing. I've been busy as I start my job and have been spending time with my girlfriend, friends, and family. I'm going to get back on my grind tomorrow for full tilt's rush poker week promotion. I'm doing to take advantage of the 100 points a day to clear the $50 bonus along with grind away at my $75 Ironman Bonus from the month before.
I decided as well I'm also going to update this weekly rather than daily as I've become too caught up on my day to day results as I'm posting them up on here and that is affecting my play therefore if I have a downswing it won't affect me as much as I'll have a week to recover before I post up. I plan on updating this every Sunday night.
Cash Results:
Limit: 25nl FR
Number of Hands Played: 1610
Amount Won: +$29.86
Rakeback Earned: +$9.00
Total Won (Today): +$38.86
Total Won (Overall): +$321.60
Amount Remaining to reach Goal: $2,178.40
Goals for the month:
-Obtain Bronze Ironman Status (100 points for 15 days)
-Achieve enough points for the full $75 Ironman Bonus I achieved last month.
-Complete the requirements for $50 full tilt rush week promotion
I also am impressed at the updates FTP had this past week (minus the day it was down for). The new ring game table finder is very cool and helpful rather than having to constantly join waiting lists for the best tables.
keep up the hard work! try and put more hands in its worth it. Also look for each and every spot where you can do something profitable. Looking at the game like that helps me out alot sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIf monitoring your results closely is going to tilt you, you probably still have flaws in your mindset. Instead of trying to fool yourself into ignoring it, you should just tackle it head on and maybe do it even more.
ReplyDeleteYou're at a point where your goal is learning, not making money. If you can get to the point where looking at your results and closely monitoring them has absolutely no effect on you, ever, you'll be ahead of most of the regulars up to $2/$4. Looking at your graphs/cashier while you play is always detrimental, because it distracts you but if it's going to tilt you, you're thinking about the game wrong. Same goes for recording your results everyday, if you were thinking about the game correctly, it wouldn't affect you in anyway.
I like this quote from Ansky: "There is absolutely no excuse for losing money because of tilt. What the fuck are you doing?"
Well I look at my cashier/balance after my sessions and I've become much better with tilting (Had many losing 2-3 buyin sessions than I'd have liked lately) . I just would rather post up once a week so I have a decent sample size and more hands to reflect on rather than a days worth so I can try and really get something out of my blogging and evaluate on my play/progress.. I also am short on time with my job as well. I think updating every Sunday night will work best for me at least for the time being.
ReplyDeleteWell yeah, that makes sense. I was just commenting on the reason you gave in your blog. You mentioned that posting everyday affects your play after having a losing session.
ReplyDeleteTrue true I guess I misrepresented my reasoning sorry for that.
