So it's official I will be both grinding and doing computer/virus repairs on the side this summer as a means of income.
I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my time and how I can really get the best experience summer has to offer. Here are some goals I'm going to shoot for and this time I'm actually going to try and put an honest effort to make them.
Poker Goals:- Break of stake and do my own thing.
- Play a lot of formats to keep me from burning out and keep the money flowing, but mainly focusing on playing HU.
- Get my roll on 3 sites (FTP, Stars, UB) and play only people I have an edge on (no reg wars until I have a sufficient BR to handle the competition)
-Put in 25-40 hours a week every week and really try to make the best decisions possible in every opportunity.
- Try to not look at cashier/HEM as much as possible even after a session.
- Depending on how my BRs are looking on each site, I'd like to do cashouts every other Monday in order to make sure I'm treating it like a real job and padding my bank accounts.
- No monetary goal as in HU the variance can be too killer (as I've seen in stake thus far), but I'm just really shooting to be motivated to put time in at the tables and start crushing.
Life Goals:- Take at least 2 vacations as I have one already planned for Cape Cod to stay at our house we own there and then another hopefully with my friends to a beach in Rhode Island.
- Start and complete Insanity workout program 100% and continue working out everyday after it is complete.
- Start eating more healthy and cooking more of my own meals. I've always loved to cook on a grill so I'd like to experiment with more grilling of burgers, chicken, steaks, shrimp, and salmon.
- Play a lot of golf. This is the first year I'll have time to commit everyday to getting in some holes at the course I belong to and I plan on doing so as often as I can. Golf is a stress reliever for me and I could also use the exercise. I hope to be able to get my handicap somewhat respectable through my playing this summer.
- Enjoy life as much as possible, I've been working to completely take the negativity out of my life and to enjoy every moment even if there's something bothering me. I'm blessed with everything I've been given so far and the opportunities and health I have been lucky to have until this point are incredible. I know I could have it much worse and especially in regards to a bad day at the tables nothing should be bringing me down considering all I have to be thankful and happy about.
